Newcastle manager Eddie Howe has spoken about the future of Magpies striker Alexander Isak. It was previously reported that Newcastle rejected Liverpool's €139 million offer for the player. The head coach told talkSPORT about this:
"I can't say 100 percent about any player's future at the moment. Alexander is happy at Newcastle, he loves the players, the staff and the team. I'm sure he'll be here at the start of the season. We have a few irreplaceable players like that. We haven't lost hope that Isak will stay in our team."
It should be noted that Isak played 42 games in all tournaments last season, scored 27 goals and provided 6 assists. His contract with the club runs until the end of June 2028.
