Domi Massumo: "The Premier League level is different";

An interview with Gabala midfielder Domi Massumo, the author of the first goal of the 2025/26 season in the Azerbaijan Premier League, to Futbolxeber.az.

- You were satisfied with 1 point in the opening game of the season against "Karvan". How would you comment on the 1:1 draw?

- It was a difficult game for us. We worked well on the field. But it was felt that the level of the Premier League is different.

- Although you took the lead in the second half, you missed the victory. What was the reason for this?

- We were really close to starting the season with 3 points. Unfortunately, in the end we were satisfied with only 1 point. In fact, if we had scored the second goal, our job would have been easier. Unfortunately, we could not capitalize on several real chances in both the first and second halves.

- You became the author of the first goal of the season...

- Of course, this is very pleasant. But I would be even happier if our team had won.

- Considering that you distinguished yourself, you probably consider your debut in the Premier League successful?

- Frankly, I wouldn't want to evaluate my own game. I can only say that I can do more than what I did. I am working for this. I will try to perform better from game to game.

- How ready is Gabala for the Premier League?

- Overall, the level of our team is not bad. It's just that some of our players joined the team a little late. Our preparation was at a high level. We will try to be more successful in the next games.

- What is your team's goal for the current season?

- We will try to perform as successfully as possible. I believe in our staff, in our team. We can achieve successful results by working hard.
