Former Liverpool and France national team striker Djibril Cissé spoke about 23-year-old forward Hugo Ekitike.
Idman.Biz reports that Ekitike moved from Eintracht Frankfurt to Liverpool for 75 million euros in the summer of 2025. This season, he has played 10 games in all tournaments for the club, scoring 5 goals and providing one assist.
"He scores goals. He knows how to score goals. Ekitike showed this in Germany and when he moved to Liverpool. I was a little worried that he wouldn't play much, but I was wrong. He plays and everything is fine. Hugo offers Salah and Isak a lot of options. He's a really good player. I know him from France. I said he had potential, but to be honest, I didn't expect him to be this good, this fast," Cissé said.
