Rute Cardoso, the widowed wife of former Liverpool player Diogo Jota, who tragically passed away last summer, shared archival photos of her husband with her "Instagram" followers.
According to Lent.az, citing foreign media, the woman shared touching pictures of Jota with their young children. The post coincided with the birthday of their youngest daughter, which was celebrated on November 26. Rute also added an emotional caption titled "A whole year".
As a reminder, Diogo Jota died in a car accident on a highway in Spain on the night of July 2nd to 3rd. His younger brother, Andre Silva, was also in the car and died.
Diogo Jota is known for his performances for "Liverpool" and "Wolverhampton". With the "Reds", he won the English Premier League, the FA Cup and the English Super Cup.
Jota also played 49 games for the Portuguese national team, scored 14 goals and provided 12 assists. He won the Nations League twice with the Portuguese national team.
