Diego Tristan, the famous former striker of "Deportivo" and the Spanish national team, has officially started to lead the second team of "Cordoba". This was reported by the club's official website, Sport24.az reports.
The club management decided to appoint the 50-year-old manager for the last games of the season in order to improve the team's results.
Tristan is remembered for his performances at Deportivo (2000-2006). He was the top scorer in La Liga in the 2001/02 season.
Tristan also played for Mallorca, Livorno, West Ham and Cadiz. The striker played 15 games for the Spanish national team.
It should be noted that the famous striker of the past coached Cordoba's U-16 team during his coaching career and also worked in the club's academy. He has also been the head coach of Atletico Algabeno and Inter Sevilla.
