Atletico Madrid head coach Diego Simeone has responded to a question about the future of forward Antoine Griezmann.
Idman.Biz reports that it was previously reported in the press that the French footballer may be transferred to MLS club Orlando City in the near future.
"I'm not going to talk about that. I have focused my attention on the Oviedo match and how important Griezmann is to us. We don't know what will happen with Griezmann. I won't repeat how important he is to us.
Everyone continues to talk about him. We are talking to Antoine; he knows how much we need him. Oviedo, Barcelona, Real Sociedad, Tottenham... That's what awaits us," AS quotes Simeone as saying.
The 34-year-old Griezmann is the club's all-time leading scorer with 210 goals. This season, the footballer has played 35 games in all competitions, scoring 12 goals and providing two assists. His contract with the club expires in the summer of 2027.
