Atletico Madrid head coach Diego Simeone has apologized for his argument with Real Madrid winger Vinicius Junior in the Spanish Super Cup semi-final.
Idman.Biz reports that the game ended 2-1 in favor of Real.
During the game, Simeone told Vinicius, "Florentino (Perez) will fire you, remember my words."
Later, as Vinicius left the field, Simeone gestured to the Real Madrid player that the fans were booing him.
"I apologize to Mr. Florentino (Pérez) and Mr. Vinicius for what happened. It was wrong of me to behave like that, and I openly admit that I was wrong.
The winning team deserves to advance, that's all," Simeone said.
