Diego Maradona's torn jersey was sold at auction by "Matchday Football Auctions." Sport24.az, citing Mundo Deportivo, reports that Maradona's jersey was sold for $145,000 at auction.
However, due to a 23% commission, its actual price was $179,000. This has gone down in history as the most expensive Maradona jersey ever sold at auction.
It should be noted that the Argentine legend's jersey was torn in 1984 in the Spanish Cup final when "Barcelona" lost 0:1 to Bilbao "Athletic". The match ended in a mass brawl.
