Former Uruguayan national team footballer Diego Forlán has been hospitalized.
"Report", citing "El Periodico de Aragon", reports that the 46-year-old veteran striker broke 3 ribs during a game in a tournament he participated in his country.
Forlán, playing for the "Old Boys" club in the championship held among footballers over 40, was injured in the match they won 4:1 against the "Old Christians" team. It was reported that the former striker, who was hospitalized, will receive treatment for a while.
It should be noted that D. Forlán, who wore the jersey of clubs such as "Independiente" (Argentina), "Manchester United" (England), "Inter" (Italy), "Atletico", "Villarreal" (both Spain), as well as the Uruguayan national team in 2002–2014, said goodbye to professional football in 2019.
