Didier Deschamps: We will face a very energetic and stubborn team, our goal is to win

The French national team will be hosted by the Azerbaijani national team in Baku tomorrow as part of the 6th round of the DÇ-2026 qualifying stage. Sport24.az reports that Didier Deschamps, the head coach of the two-time world champions, answered journalists' questions at the press conference held before the match:

- Won't the absence of Osman Dembele and Kilian Mbappe create difficulties for you?

- Dezire Due and others are not here either. But we have qualified for the World Cup. This makes us feel comfortable. We have 22 players for tomorrow's match. We will face a very energetic and stubborn team. But we will do our best. Because our goal is to win.

- You qualified for the World Cup three days ago by winning 4:0 against Ukraine. Kilian Mbappe played in that match, but he will not play tomorrow. How serious is his injury?

- Kilian had problems with his ankle, and it continues. That's why I released him from the national team, and Real's medical staff will take care of Mbappe. We don't want to take risks. We have already qualified for the World Cup. We have 22 players here, and their goal is clear.

- Three of your players are injured. Which players will play tomorrow?

- Although there are not three players missing, 22 players are in Baku. They can all play. They will all be at today's training session. Of course, there is fatigue due to the games. But we arrived in Baku on time and rested.
