The French football team put Azerbaijan in a difficult position thanks to its speed.
"Report" reports that this was stated by Didier Deschamps, the head coach of the French national football team, at a press conference after their match against Azerbaijan in the qualifying round of the 2026 World Cup.
The expert commented on the match they won:
"It was important for us to bring our points to 9. We expect our players to win every game. Such matches are always complex. The opponent could block our attacks. We put Azerbaijan in a difficult position thanks to our speed. We seemed a little slow in the first half of the match. We could have won by a bigger score. I have no intention of jumping for joy."
It should be noted that the France-Azerbaijan match ended with a 3:0 victory for the former.
