France national team head coach Didier Deschamps spoke about the difficulties they faced during their trip to the USA for friendly matches with Brazil and Colombia.
Idman.Biz, referring to "Goal", reports that the experienced specialist criticized the organizers for logistical problems and excessive security measures.
Deschamps emphasized that the time they spent at the airport was unbearable:
"When we arrived there, we lost an incredible amount of time at the airport. We were checked in a way I've never seen in my life. Such procedures drain the team's energy".
The French specialist noted that the team's stay in Boston is an important experience before the World Cup (WC-2026):
"Our trip to Boston was important for us because we will play there in the World Cup. We need to minimize such difficulties and adapt to the conditions. Flights and the adaptation process require a serious approach".
Deschamps also touched on the expected weather conditions in the summer. He stated that the hot weather will affect the physical condition of the players:
"There will be additional heat in the summer, and the recovery of football players will be a key factor. We will try to spend less energy on events outside the field".
