Head coach Dick Advocaat has left the Curaçao national team camp ahead of their crucial match against Jamaica for the 2026 World Cup qualification.
Idman.Biz reports that the head coach stated that he took such a step due to family circumstances.
Advocaat stated that he made the decision with great difficulty:
"I had to make this decision with a heavy heart, but family is more important than football. Even though I am in the Netherlands, I will be in constant contact with the team and staff. I have full confidence in these players."
The upcoming match for the Curaçao national team is considered one of the most important matches in the country's football history. If the team wins, they will have a real chance for the 2026 World Cup.
