The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office investigated the detention period of "Galatasaray" footballer Metehan Baltacı and "Fenerbahçe" footballer Mert Hakan Yandaş, who were arrested within the framework of the "football betting investigation."
According to Lent.az, citing Turkish media, the court decided to continue the detention of both footballers, who were detained on December 9, 2025.
After reviewing the case files, the Istanbul 2nd Criminal Court of Peace did not release the footballers. Considering the existing evidence and the seriousness of the charges, the court decided to keep both Mert Hakan Yandaş and Metehan Baltacı in custody.
