France national team head coach Didier Deschamps commented on the health of Real Madrid's 26-year-old striker Kylian Mbappe before the match against Azerbaijan as part of the qualifying round of the 2026 World Cup.
Idman.biz reports that the match will be held on October 10 in Paris.
"I spoke with him. He is here, he has a small problem, but nothing can prevent him from coming. We will discuss the situation with the medical staff, then we will see how things develop," said Deschamps.
Kilian Mbappe injured his ankle in the Real Madrid – Villarreal (3:1) match on Saturday. The 26-year-old striker was forced to leave the field shortly after scoring a goal and went straight to the dressing room.
