Didier Deschamps, the head coach of the French national team, spoke about the match against Azerbaijan in Baku in the 6th round of Group D as part of the D-2026 qualifying round. Sport24.az reports that the experienced specialist said the following about the meeting, which will take place in 2 days:
"We have a long journey ahead of us with a three-hour time difference. We will do this only 2 days after the game with Ukraine. Most likely, I will make some changes in the squad. We have losses, some of them will not go with us to the away match."
Deschamps added that Eduardo Camavinga, who is experiencing muscle problems, and the penalized Manu Kone will not come to Baku. The Azerbaijan-France match will be held on November 16 at the Tofig Bahramov stadium and will start at 21:00.
