The "Marakana" stadium in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, is being put up for sale.
"Report" reports, citing "RMC Sport", that the local authorities have made a decision on this matter.
The city's legislative assembly has taken this step to reduce the costs of maintaining the arena and to pay off part of the region's debt of 1.89 billion euros.
It should be noted that the clubs "Flamengo", "Fluminense" and the Brazilian national team hold their home games at this stadium. The arena has a capacity of 78,000 fans.
