De Ligt left his wife due to her esoteric interests.
Lent.az reports, citing foreign media, that the Manchester United defender and the Dutch model broke up at the end of June – a year after their wedding.
The wedding party was supposed to take place in Italy last weekend. However, the ceremony was canceled at the last minute "due to family reasons."
De Ligt went on vacation to Barbados with Joshua Zirkzee.
The main reason given is that the girl is "deeply inclined to spiritual practices" and, in particular, that De Ligt is "tired of his wife's obsession."
