Inter Miami co-owner David Beckham has commented on the extension of the contract with Argentine world champion Lionel Messi.
Idman.Biz reports that the MLS club announced the striker's new contract on Thursday, October 23. The Argentine's new contract is until 2028.
"We made a commitment to bring the best players to Inter Miami and to this city, and we have done so. We have brought to this city the best player to have ever played the game. This shows our commitment to Miami, as well as Leo's commitment to the city, the club and the game.
He is as committed to the club as he always has been and still wants to win. As owners, we are very happy to have a player who loves football so much, does so much for football in our country and inspires the next generation of young talent," Beckham said.
