"It was a very tense and even game." These words were said by former "Qarabag" footballer Dani Quintana in an interview with Sport24.az.
The former midfielder shared his thoughts on the "Athletic" (Spain) - "Qarabag" match held in the UEFA Champions League:
"Qarabag" started the match very well, controlling the game in the first minutes, but "Athletic" created several scoring chances and finally equalized. Not much happened in the second half until Navarro's individual skill decided the fate of the match. Nevertheless, "Qarabag" had a chance to equalize."
Quintana also touched upon the performance of the Azerbaijani champion:
"Qarabag" lost the game, but could have drawn.
I am very happy that "Qarabag" is able to compete on an equal footing with the high-level teams of Spain. I see an Azerbaijani team that can score points in any stadium."
It should be noted that "Qarabag" lost the match in Spain with a score of 1:3.
