Real Madrid defender and captain Dani Carvajal harshly commented on the Madrid team's defeat in the derby against Atletico (2:5) in the 7th round of the Spanish La Liga.
According to Report, the Marca publication quoted the player's words.
"We messed things up ourselves and there is no consolation that can help now. But we will start working hard early tomorrow morning. This defeat hurt us, but it can be a useful lesson. We need to think about what happened and gather our courage," said Carvajal.
Real Madrid leads the Spanish League table with 18 points. Atletico Madrid has increased its points to 12 and risen to fourth place. Barcelona, with 16 points, can overtake the Madrid team if they win their upcoming match of the 7th round against Real Sociedad.
