Former Barcelona defender Dani Alves has become a preacher in an evangelical church in Spain. Sport24.az reports that the AS publication reported this.
According to the source, the 42-year-old Brazilian is currently preaching at the Elim Church in Girona, where Pastor Jimmy Martin often ministers. Services are held on Tuesday evenings and Sundays.
During one of the services, Alves shared his thoughts: "You must believe in God. I am living proof of this. I have made a covenant with Him. Even if there is storm and confusion around, there is always a messenger from God. In the most difficult moment of my life, this messenger helped me to get on the path of faith and led me to the church. Now thanks to him I continue this journey."
It should be noted that in March 2025, the Criminal Chamber of the Catalonia Court acquitted Alves of rape charges.
