Dani Alves has surprised everyone: the former "Barcelona" defender has started preaching in a church in Girona.
According to Lent.az, referring to foreign media, after being released from prison and the high-profile sexual assault incident, the Brazilian radically changed his mind and announced that he had made a "contract with God".
Alves' video from the church scene, crying, has gone viral on the internet:
"Don't think that God is far away - He is not far from you. I have made a covenant with Him. Even if you think differently, God does not leave you. He hears you even in your darkest moments. Open your heart to Him, and you will find the way."
His emotional speech has set social media on fire. Alves claims that his faith has helped him live his last years, and now he wants to "dedicate his life to service."
