"I worked briefly with Mateusz Kochalski at Legia."
These words were said by former Polish national team coach Czesław Michniewicz while talking about his compatriot Mateusz Kochalski, who plays for Qarabag.
According to him, the Polish goalkeeper stands out for both his human qualities and his professionalism.
"Mateusz is a very intelligent, educated and highly characterful person. As for his professional qualities, I think he is an excellent goalkeeper. The Polish national team has historically been distinguished by its strong goalkeepers. In my opinion, Mateusz can currently be considered the fourth or fifth choice in the national team. This is my personal approach," he told AZERTAC.
Touching on the possibility of Kochalski playing in major leagues, the specialist emphasized the goalkeeper's international experience:
"He played in the UEFA Champions League this season and gained serious experience. I think he could be of interest to big clubs. Now might be a good time for him to transfer to the next league. Time will tell which championship he will adapt to."
It should be noted that Mateusz Kochalski has been playing for Qarabag since the summer of 2024.
