Giorgos Koumas, president of the Cyprus Football Association (CFA), has announced his resignation amid an ongoing criminal investigation into corruption allegations and a potential conflict of interest over television rights.
According to "Report", the organization's press service reported this.
The former federation president informed the CFA Executive Committee in advance of his decision to step down. His resignation was caused by increasing public pressure as well as personal considerations.
Despite leaving his post, Koumas remains a member of the FIFA Council and the UEFA Executive Committee.
