The Main Department for Combating Cybercrime of the Ministry of Internal Affairs conducted operational and technical measures to identify a group of individuals who illegally put tickets for the "Qarabag"–"Chelsea" football match, which will be held on November 5 at the Tofig Bahramov stadium in the next stage of the Champions League, on online sale.
Idman.Biz reports that Emil Dadashov, Javid Dadashov, Rashad Hasanov, Murad Mirkishiyev and Vusal Zalov, who previously purchased tickets online and from official sales points, and then wanted to sell them at a higher price than their value on various pages on social network platforms, as well as on the "black market", were detained by the cyber police.
During the investigation, it was determined that these persons committed this illegal act by taking advantage of the limited number of tickets and the great interest of citizens in the game. Appropriate measures have been taken against the detained persons, and operations are continuing.
"We once again appeal to citizens who want to watch live international sports tournaments that are planned to be held in our country in the future and recommend that they purchase tickets only from official sales points. We state that people who buy tickets from various pages on social networks and other illegal sources may face fraud" - the Ministry of Internal Affairs said in a statement.
