AFFA continues its selections for the head coach of the Azerbaijani national team consisting of football players under 20 years old.
Idman.Biz reports with reference to futbolinfo.az that our U-20 team will participate in the World Championship to be co-hosted by Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan next year.
The appointment of a specialist working within the country seems more realistic for the team. Among the local coaches whose names are mentioned are Aqil Nabiyev and Ilham Yadullayev. However, the association's main candidate is Adino Mustedanagic, the head coach of "Sabah-2".
The Croatian specialist has been coaching "Sabah-2" since last year, and the team is currently leading the Reserve League. This success has attracted the attention of AFFA. The relationship between the institution and the "Sabah" club also facilitates Mustedanagic's transfer to U-20.
It should be noted that the 43-year-old specialist also leads "Sabah"'s U-19 team.
