Montenegrin midfielder Milutin Osmajic scored the first goal of the match in the third minute. Nikola Krstovic scored another goal against the visitors in the 17th minute. Ivan Perisic scored the visitors' first goal from a penalty in the 37th minute of the first half. Kristian Jakic equalized the score in the 73rd minute of the second half. Nikola Vlasic gave the visitors the lead in the 87th minute of the game.
After eight games, Montenegro has nine points and is in fourth place in Group L. Croatia has gained 22 points in eight games and has already qualified for the World Cup to be held in the USA, Canada and Mexico.
