As part of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, Croatia hosted the Faroe Islands.

The visitors' midfielder, Geza David Turi, scored the first goal of the match in the 16th minute. Croatia equalized in the 23rd minute with a goal from defender Joško Gvardiol. In the second half, home side forward Petar Musa gave his team the lead. Nikola Vlašić made it 3-1 in the 70th minute.
The Faroe Islands are third in Group L with 12 points from eight games. Croatia is at the top of the table with 19 points from seven games. Thanks to this victory, Zlatko Dalić's team qualified for the 2026 World Cup.
