Idman.Biz reports that the German striker has thus managed to surpass the 15-goal mark in the Premier League for the second time in his career. The experienced forward previously scored 17 goals in the 2022/23 season.
With this result, Mikels has gone down in history as the second legionnaire to score 15 or more goals in two different seasons in the history of the Azerbaijan championships. Before him, only Bahodir Nasimov, a former member of the Uzbekistan national team, had achieved this success. Nasimov scored 15 goals in the 2010/11 season and 16 goals in the next championship while playing for "Neftchi".
