"Sabah" player Coy Lens Mikels has become the ninth foreign player to reach 40 goals in the Azerbaijan Championship.
"Report" reports with reference to the official website of the Professional Football League that the 32-year-old German striker achieved this in the match of the II round of the Misli Premier League, in which they defeated "Shamakhi" (2:1).
Mikels, who scored a double in the match, reached "40" with his second goal. The football player, who plays for only one club in our country, realized this in his 86th match.
Mikels is the 68th football player in the history of the tournament to score 40 or more goals. He is the 9th player with the status of a foreign player to do this.
Coy Lens has gone down in history as the 27th football player to score 40 or more goals for the same club in the Premier League. He is the 4th foreign player after Abdullah Zubir, Reynaldo Silva (both "Qarabağ") and Fernando Peres ("Baku") to score at least this many goals for the same club.
