"It was a tough game. The opponent played well. But we knew that if we had more possession, the match would be under our control." Sport24.az reports that these words were said by Sabah football player Coy-Lens Mikels.
The striker commented on his team's victory over Araz-Nakhchivan in the 26th round of the Misli Premier League:
"Even when the opponent scored the first goal, we were in control of the game. We just couldn't take advantage of the goal opportunities, so we had to be a little patient. Our head coach has been telling us for months that in such games we have to be patient and control the ball, the goals will come by themselves."
The Rwandan football player shared his thoughts on his debut in the national team:
"First of all, I am happy to debut with my brothers in the Rwanda national team. It's a great feeling. It has been our dream since childhood to play together. But doing it in the national team is a greater responsibility. That's why our family is even more proud. We play for our father's side and my father came to the game in Rwanda. It's great to see my brothers there, to watch them play football. I missed it very much. We last played together at the age of 17 in Borussia Monchengladbach's U-19 team. I just feel pride, it's hard to express it in words."
It should be noted that the Araz-Nakhchivan - Sabah match ended with a 2:4 victory for the guests.
