Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois compared former coach Carlo Ancelotti with current coach Xabi Alonso.
İdman.Biz reports that Xabi Alonso started managing Real Madrid before the start of the current season. Ancelotti worked at the club from 2013 to 2015 and again from 2021 to 2025.
"Ancelotti was like a father or grandfather to me. Xabi is more modern. Both are very good coaches, each with their own style. To say that we miss Ancelotti would be disrespectful to Xabi. We have a good relationship with Alonso.
It is normal for some players to be unhappy with playing less. Everything is discussed openly within our team and there are no problems," Football Espana quotes Courtois as saying.
