Copenhagen forward Mohammad Elyounoussi commented on the defeat (0:2) against Qarabag in Baku in the 2nd round of the Champions League main stage. Sport24.az reports that the Norwegian, in a statement on the club's official website, acknowledged Qarabag's strength:
"Of course, I was disappointed with our very poor performance. I think we lost the match in the first half. We were half a second late in the struggles, and they won the duels both in the air and on the field. Qarabag looked sharper than us and moved faster; it is very frustrating to lose in an area where we should have been stronger. Qarabag's pressure did not surprise us. That's why we tried to play a little harder than usual, but it didn't work. Immediately after their goal, I had a great opportunity, I had to score myself, and I take responsibility for it. In the second half, we played more freely because we had nothing to lose, and we also created enough chances. If we had scored, we could have changed the game. But overall, we deserved to lose."
