The goalkeeper of our national team, Yusif Imanov, has decided to unilaterally terminate his contract with "Sabah." The young goalkeeper wrote about this on his social media account. He justified this with the hostile attitude towards him, etc. To make the picture completely clear, let's note that Yusif Imanov was neither taken to the team's training camp in Austria, nor was his name included in the application for the European Cups.
Imanov's contract with "Sabah" expires next summer. As mentioned at the beginning of the article, Yusif has no intention of staying at "Sabah" not only for a year, but for any day after that. He has already applied to FIFA and is sure that he will achieve his goal. Most likely, it will be so. Some colleagues write that Yusif will not achieve anything, citing the fact that he was given the opportunity to train in the reserve team and that he was paid his salary. However, his contract is with the main team of "Sabah" and the club must create conditions for him to train in the main team. In simple terms, he has the right to train in the team with which he has a contract. That's it!
It is difficult to say whether Yusif Imanov is right in feeling a hostile attitude towards him. Because "Sabah" has made a great contribution to Yusif's development as a goalkeeper. Even when Imanov made gross mistakes, they trusted him, gave him chances, and nurtured him.
"Sabah" does not want to let him go. They demand that he sign a new contract. Yusif does not agree. In this case, the club management sent Yusif to the reserve team to influence his decision. As a result, an unpleasant situation arose.
This is not the first time that such problems have occurred in "Sabah." At various times, members of our national team Jeyhun Nuriyev, Shakir Seyidov, Nijat Mehbaliyev and other football players faced the same attitude when they did not want to extend their contracts. Let's not go far, Abdulla Rzayev, one of the best wing defenders in the country, also wasted last season, having to spend his days in the reserve team. The reason is the same, he did not want to extend the contract...
On the one hand, the "Sabah" management says that it pays attention to children's football, but on the other hand, it constantly has problems with local youth. Every year, some local football player is "exiled" to the reserve team due to problems with the management, not with the coach.
If young people who do not want to stay in "Sabah" are subjected to the "punishment mechanism" every time, and their careers will be damaged, this will damage the club's image. Such cases happen from time to time in football. But agree that there has never been as much talk on this topic in any of our clubs as in "Sabah."
