"Como" president Mirvan Suvarso commented on the team's 3:4 defeat to "Inter" in the Italian league.
According to Idman.Biz, the official stated that he was proud of the team's performance, but criticized the behavior of some fans.
"Despite the final result, I am incredibly proud of our team. They gave everything on the field and fought with true dignity. My pride in our game cannot outweigh my disappointment with the behavior of some people in the VIP box towards the opposing delegation," Suvarso's words are quoted on journalist Gianluca Di Marzio's website.
"I understand that football evokes strong emotions, but we must never forget who we are. The integrity of our club and the development of the league depend on mutual respect. Anyone who cannot accept this will not be welcome," he added.
After this match, "Como" is in fifth place in the standings with 59 points, while "Inter" is the leader with 75 points.
