Vice-President of the National Olympic Committee (NOC) Chingiz Huseynzade believes that the "Qarabag" club will qualify for the next stage of the UEFA Champions League.
The NOC official made a statement to "Report" about this.
He said that he watched all the games of the Azerbaijani representative in the continent's number one club tournament:
"We have a chance to advance to the next round. I believe we can qualify for the next stage. Suffice it to say that last season we participated in the UEFA Europa League and finished the main stage in last place with 3 points. This year we are in the Champions League and we already have 6 points. Both getting into the Champions League and achieving good results here is already a success for "Qarabag".
The Vice-President of the NOC emphasized that the "kholan horses" can achieve positive results in home matches:
"Our opponents in the league stage are very strong. But they can be defeated. I believe that "Qarabag" will win their next points in home games in Baku".
It should be noted that "Qarabag" is in 13th place with 6 points after three rounds in the main stage of the Champions League. The team will face England's "Chelsea" club in Baku on November 5.
