More famous teams have not been able to achieve the success of the "Qarabagh" club in the UEFA Champions League this season.
This was stated by Chingiz Huseynzade, vice-president of the National Olympic Committee (NOC), in an interview with "Report".
The NOC official commented on the advancement of the Azerbaijani representative to the play-off stage of the tournament:
"Qarabagh" club has achieved great success this season. Qualifying for the league stage and then advancing to the play-offs is a really great achievement. More famous teams than "Qarabagh" have not been able to achieve this. I highly appreciate the performance of our representative in the UEFA Champions League this season."
It should be noted that "Qarabagh" lost to "Newcastle" (England) in the play-off stage of the UEFA Champions League with the result of two matches (1:6, 2:3) and stopped fighting in the tournament.
