A memorial tournament was held on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the birth of the legendary football player Anatoli Banishevski, jointly organized by AFFA and the Baku Villages Football Federation.
"Report" reports with reference to the official website of the national association that 6 teams representing the villages and settlements of Baku competed in the tournament organized among children under 14 years old.
The "Bina" team became the winner of the tournament, defeating "Ateshgah" (Surakhani) with a score of 4:0 in the final match held at the Dalga Training Center.
After the final match, an award ceremony was held. The winner and prize-winners were awarded with cups, medals and diplomas. The cup was presented to the winning team by Farrukh Ismayilov, the head of the AFFA Mass Football Department, a veteran football player, and Vagif Davudov, the president of the Baku Villages Football Federation.
It should be noted that the main purpose of the tournament is to commemorate the memory of the late Anatoli Banishevski, one of the bright figures of Azerbaijani football, as well as to increase the mass character of football among children and to support the identification of talented football players.
