Idman.Biz reports that the club's first contacts with the representatives of the 37-year-old Polish football player took place at the end of last year. In November, Lewandowski's wife, Anna, visited Chicago and also inspected a possible place of residence.
At the beginning of December, a delegation from the Chicago Fire visited Barcelona. A few weeks ago, Pini Zahavi, a well-known manager who protects the interests of the striker, met with Joe Mansueto, the owner of the American club, in London.
