English club "Chelsea" leads the ranking of football clubs that allocate the most funds to transfer fees related to the acquisition of current players of the main squad.
This was reported by "Report" today with reference to the International Center for Sports Studies (CIES).
The calculations take into account payments for player transfers and lease agreements.
According to CIES, "Chelsea" spent 1.3 billion euros.
The leaders' "top three" includes English clubs "Manchester City" (1.128 billion euros) and "Manchester United" (1.071 billion euros).
"Liverpool" (1.065 billion euros), "Arsenal" (1 billion euros) and "Tottenham" (974 million euros) are in 4-6 places.
The French club PSG took 7th place in the ranking (873 million euros). The next steps are "Real" (Spain, 854 million euros), "Newcastle" (England, 816 million euros) and "Atletico" (Spain, 572 million euros).
In total, 100 clubs are represented in the ranking.
Recall that "Chelsea" and "Liverpool" are rivals of the "Qarabag" club in the main stage of the UEFA Champions League.
