English football club "Chelsea" has presented its report for the past financial year. The London representative achieved the second best indicator in the club's history by earning £490.9 million (1 billion 104 million AZN) in revenue.
Idman.Biz reports that the new Premier League television contract and the broadcasting rights of the Club World Cup mainly contributed to the increase in revenues. Revenue from match days increased to £86.8 million (195.3 million AZN), and profit from transfers increased to £57.9 million (130.3 million AZN).
However, these increases did not save the club from overall losses. "Chelsea" reported a loss of £262.4 million (590.5 million AZN) before taxes.
It should be noted that the club announced a profit of £128.4 million (288.9 million AZN) the previous year, but that amount was possible thanks to the sale of the women's team and hotels.
