İdman.biz reports that the London club, having defeated Fluminense 2:0 in the semi-finals, has reached the final of the tournament.
Journalist Ben Jacobs wrote that Chelsea has already earned $110 million from participating in the Club World Cup. If they win the final, FIFA will pay the English representative another $10 million.
The maximum possible income for a club in the Club World Cup is $125 million. Chelsea lost $2 million due to a defeat to Flamengo (1:3) in the group stage, and received 35 million euros for participating in the tournament - 3 million less than the maximum possible amount for UEFA representatives.
It should be noted that Chelsea will face Real Madrid or PSG in the final of the mundial. The match, which will take place on Sunday, July 13, will start at 23:00 Baku time.
