UEFA has fined the English football club Chelsea 20 million euros for violating financial regulations, with an additional 60 million euros as a conditional fine.
Lent.az reports that this was announced on the official UEFA website.
It was noted that Chelsea has agreed to a four-year monitoring period. Aston Villa has also been sanctioned. The Birmingham club will have to pay 5 million euros. Aston Villa has also been conditionally fined an additional 15 million euros.
According to information provided by the "Transfermarkt" portal, Chelsea spent 281.9 million euros on the acquisition of new players last season. At the end of the 2024/2025 season, the team finished fourth in the Premier League.
