İdman.biz reports that a comparison has been made between the cities represented by the teams participating in the UEFA Champions League in the 2024/25 season and the clubs participating in the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup.
The results of the study revealed a stark contrast.
53% of the cities represented by the teams competing in the FIFA Club World Cup have a population of more than 5 million people.
Conversely, 51% of the cities of the teams participating in the Champions League have a population of less than 1 million people.

53.1% – More than 5 million people
18.8% – 1-2.5 million people
15.6% – 2.5-5 million people
12.5% – Less than 1 million people
Cities of Champions League participants:
51.4% – Less than 1 million people
22.9% – 1-2.5 million people
