Champions League Round of 16 Participants Determined

The UEFA Champions League play-off stage has concluded today. Sport24.az reports that 4 more matches were held on the second matchday, thus determining all participants of the Round of 16.

Turkish representative "Galatasaray" faced "Juventus" in Italy, after winning 5:2 at home. Despite being down to 10 men from the 48th minute, the home side finished the regular time 3:0 ahead. Since the aggregate score was 5:5, extra time was played. Here, "Galatasaray" scored 2 more goals. The game ended 3:2 in favor of "Juventus", and this result advanced "Galatasaray" to the Round of 16.

"Atalanta" will host Dortmund "Borussia". This match recorded a dramatic ending. The Italian club, which lost the first match 0:2, was able to make a comeback in the return match. The Bergamo representative advanced with a 4:1 victory. "Real" defeated "Benfica", and PSG advanced to the Round of 16 thanks to a draw against "Monaco".

After the matches held last night, "Newcastle", "Atletico", "Bodo-Glimt" and "Bayer" also advanced to the Round of 16.
