This week, the first round of Champions League matches took place. Sport24.az reports that UEFA has announced the names of 4 footballers competing for the Player of the Week award.
The nominees include Marcus Rashford ("Barcelona"), Dušan Vlahović ("Juventus"), Marcus Thuram ("Inter") and Francisco Trincão ("Sporting").
Rashford played a big role in Barcelona's 3-2 victory over Newcastle with a brace. Vlahović's two goals and one assist helped Juventus draw 4-4 with Borussia Dortmund. Thuram's two goals gave Inter a 2-0 victory over Ajax. Trincão scored two goals in the game against Kairat (4:1).
It should be noted that fans can vote for the best player of the first round of the Champions League on the UEFA website.
