Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher has expressed his views on Mohamed Salah's future at the English club. Sport24.az reports that, according to the veteran footballer, the Egyptian should not be allowed to leave the team this winter:
"Given the injury situation at Liverpool after Alexander Isak's foot fracture, Salah should not be allowed to leave in January. The club must take this into account. After the results at the beginning of this season, the African Cup of Nations was a good opportunity for everyone to catch their breath. However, the next few months could be a long goodbye for Salah.
"Liverpool's current era will be inextricably linked with him forever. He is one of the greatest players in the history of the club and the Premier League, so an emotional farewell in the last game of the season would be the perfect, carefully planned ending to his career."
Salah has made 19 appearances for Liverpool in all competitions this season, scoring five goals and providing four assists.
