Former Liverpool and England defender Jamie Carragher believes that Aston Villa coach Unai Emery should be the next head coach of Manchester United.
"Unai Emery should go to Old Trafford this weekend as the main candidate to be the next Manchester United manager.
Unfortunately for Emery, and fortunately for Aston Villa, the Spanish specialist is described as someone who develops in clubs that are trying to challenge the elite and does not meet expectations from teams that already consider themselves part of it," Carragher said.
Unai Emery began leading Aston Villa on October 24, 2022, when the club was fighting to avoid relegation from the English Premier League. The team is currently fourth in the Premier League with 51 points after 29 games and is playing in the Europa League Round of 16.
