Former Liverpool and England player Jamie Carragher has spoken about the club's transfer policy.
Idman.Biz reports that after 11 games in the English Premier League, Liverpool have 18 points and are eighth in the league table.
"Liverpool will have to spend in January; they need a centre-back. They should have done it in the summer. But it didn't happen, and then the only centre-back they did bring in, the young Italian Giovanni Leone, looked fantastic in the League Cup game he played. Unfortunately, he's injured, so we won't see him again until next season.
"One more centre-back injury is enough to completely ruin Liverpool's season. When they spend this kind of money and the results are inconsistent, it doesn't seem like the usual Liverpool to me," Carragher told Sky Sports.
